a - poured a 1/2 finger thick coffee-colored head into a snifter that left a thin ring for most of the beer. the body was a dark black with some dark brown edges.
s - rye and chocolate aromas dominate.
t - rye and roasted bitter coffee.
m - very creamy and coating. the rye really smooths this beer out nicely.
o - i love the combination of the rye with the malt sweetness in this beer.
