Mankato Brewery

Located in North Mankato, in a steel walled industrial building. Small parking lot and street parking. Plain view of the brewing equipment setup. Uncovered outdoor patio. U-shaped bar with ordering station. Twelve taps with standard range of styles. Other seating at high tables, picnic tables and wood plank topped station with high chairs. TV showing sports. Pleasant staff. Utilitarian spot for a production brewery that distributes at many Minnesota locations.

The brewery is located in North Mankato instead of the more logical downtown Mankato but seeing as they are a production brewery first and not relying on taproom traffic to keep them going it is somewhat understandable. The taproom is a section of the brewery segregated from the rest of the warehouse brewery by a half-wall. The bar has about 20 seats with a pergola. Nice wood and metal accents that make the area attractive. High tops and other seating surround the bar, an upper level with some long tables, and a crude patio space outside. About 10 beers on tap with a couple on nitro. Received prompt service and was given samples to try before ordering a full pint. But unfortunately they do not understand current Minnesota law or are purposely misleading their customers when it comes to growler fills.
