330ml bottle bought online from Ales By Mail
Poured an bright amber colour. Slightly off white head poured thick and meringue like then faded slowly to good thick coating... very faint carbonation drifts slowly to surface... some decent patchy lacing...
Aroma - Lots of grassy and peppery hops, lightly toasted bready malts, slightly caramel notes, some fig and orange fruitiness (marmalade hints), some woody traces, light ginger and peppery spiciness, toasted nuts...
Taste - Again peppery and citrus hop bitterness followed by light spicy fruits (bitter oranges, pears), some butterscotch notes, toasted bready malts, light caramel sweetness, light metallic traces, some saltiness...
Feel - Sharp initially then smooths out... light bodied... Extremely drinkable although a bit on the strong side to be sessionable..
Overall - A very good brew and another nice addition to the growing number of good English IPA's
