Consumed November 23rd, 2013 at the brewery.

A slightly cloudy light yellow brew with a barely-there wisp of white foamy head.

No aroma.

Flavor: generic American filtered wheat beer. If you were hoping for banana or clove notes, look elsewhere. Mild flowery yeast note, expected wheat tang and a hint of lemon. Low to no bitterness.

Medium mouthfeel.

Bland. Inoffensive, except to those expecting more from their beer. I'd recommend changing the category of this beer from "hefeweizen" to "American wheat ale".

On tap at Kinetic Brewing Company in Lancaster, CA.

Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, spices, yeast, and some slight banana aromas. Taste is much the same with a slight spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is pretty refreshing in the heat.

On tap @ the source

Look: Murky yellow in color with a 1/8 inch head and no retention with some spotty lacing

Smell: Wheat and some light citrus notes

Taste: Same as the nose with some nice citrus notes but it finishes a bit tart

Mouthfeel: Thin body with fair amount of carbonation

Overall: Decent hefe but the finishes just throws the flavor profile off a bit for me
