Pours a slightly amber color, 1/2" white head. Aroma leans mildly onto a caramel malt nose and super mild lager yeast.
Taste is mild, light malt sweetness, caramel still, but not viscous. Almost no hopping, this is one of those slightly darker beers that isn't heavy in any regard. Its like a vienna lager in color, but I dunno beyond that. Its AAL but with no/less corn or adjunct, but its still pretty bland otherwise. Give it to someone who wants just barely more substance than fizzy yellow. Its not thick, bitter or hoppy, so its one of those selections that you pick based on what you don't want in a beer moreso than characteristics that you want in a beer.
Cool design for sure. I give appearance points for more than just the beer itself.

For the record I am a fan of Anchor’s lager. I think it's exceptionally well done, and I wonder how much of its DNA made its way here.
Los Gigantes lager pours a caramel tan color. Foam rapidly dissipates. More of an adjunct/corn must note on the nose. More of a body on this with a musty character. Doesn't come together and doesn't do much for me at all.

12oz can into SA Perfect Pint glass.
A: Pours a clear light straw color with a couple fingers of thick, denser than expected, white head that slowly faded into a rocky film. Chunks of lace were left down the glass.
S: Grainy and corn filled nose. Lite. Kiss of bready grain and earthy hops.
T: Corn forward adjunct profile mixed with crisp dry grainy malt and just a hint of spicy hops. Sweet finish, lightly bitter aftertaste. Slightly metallic aftertaste.
M: Creamy and frothy carbonation, medium-light body, chewy mouthfeel. Thicker overall than I was expecting, mostly from the thick and frothy chewy carb. Not overly dry.
O: Carb could be lighter and more effervescent. Beer lays on my tongue. Corn is all I taste.

Great looking can! Better than average tasting Mexican style lager. Kind of reminds me of Modelo Negro or Bohemia. Hot summer day type of beer. Prost!

Picked up at the convenience store around the corner from my sister and her husband's apartment in Oakland. Cool artwork on the can. Clean and loaded with crystal malts. Golden color with medium head. Drinkable in summer. Solid across the board for the style.

Exactly what you want out of a lawnmower beer. Perfect light lager for a hot day.
