Amsterdam 12/12-2015. 33 cl from a very biodynamic supermarket called Marqt, Gelderlandplein, LB Amsterdam.. A hand gripping an anchor on the label.
Pours hazy yellow with a substantial white head. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma of citrus fruit and metal. Citrus and a bit of grapefruit. Alcohol.
Low carbonation and a little thickness in the palate.
Flavor is artificial citrus with metallic notes. Quite watery. Followed by a sour aftertaste.
Not what I expected from a Pale Ale.

The amber colour is nice, but the foam is modest. Smell of melon and pine initially, but it turns into uninspiring malt and yeast quite fast. Same goes for the taste: there's malt, there's yeast, there's some honey, but the entity is just a bit too stale. Its body is also a bit too light and watery for my liking. I expected more.

Tasted on DeWeekVanHetNederlandseBier in The Great Church in The Hague; Sour malt taste small edge bitter and a touch of fruity sweetness; Not striking or particularly good
