0.5 L Dark brown Fliptop bottle. Best before date on top label.
Served in a Weihenstaphen fluted glass.

It pours a ruby-hued cola color with a fast-fading beige head and little splotches of lacing throughout.

A big sweet malt nose holds within its body a lovely array of fruit, rye, plums, mild limes and cocoa.

The flavors mirror the aromas closely, until the metallic and citrusy hop bitterness inches through and establishes their own identity. A little taste of white rum with limes is noticed from time to time.

This is one slick and easy-to-gulp Northern Germany Dunkel. True to form, it’s a style that needs to hold firm and get its due props.
