Bistro-Brasserie Les Soeurs Grises "Camélia"
on tap at the brewery on 7 Octobre 2014
$5 / verre
Notes: Fairly typical witbier appearance with a hazy deep gold body beneath a short head of white. Average head retention and lacing. The aroma is floral, citrusy, earthy, mildly bready, and delicately spicy. The flavor follows with some additional wheaty malt, a sharp fruitiness (it's actually a little tart), some mild Belgian yeast phenolics, and some earthiness. It's lightly sweet, backed by a moderate bitterness, but the subtle tartness balances it and it finishes dry and earthy. Interesting, and refreshing.
