I feel fortunate to try a genuine Mumme (this is an actual beer style, not American Brown Ale). It is around 4% alcohol, brown in color, but not dark per se. The nose is mediaevel and reminiscent of some of the malt backbone of other mass produced mediaevel beers. Not extremely hoppy or over powering. Very Ale-like and thirst-quenching. Takes to the glass nicely with a mild swirl. Half or whole finger of head. Very delicious and exceptionally old style in excellence. To me this tastes like "beer" in a very true way and unfortunately we do not see Mumme on the shelves, this would make an excellent go-to beer. It is possibly unfiltered, not sure. Nutritious and sessionable.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
