A - Small head of light tan foam on a black body with style brown highlights showing around the edges.
S - light whiskey and oak toast with a touch of coffee.
T - Dark bead and intense toasted wood. Some light whiskey in the middle and a finish of coconut, and muted cocoa powder.
M - an oddly medium body, moderately low carbonation, and a dry finish.
D - smells promising, but doesn't quite convert in the flavor profile. The base beer seems a little too small to handle the wood character and ends up being dominated by it.
