Arrives dark brown with no head to speak of and thus no lace.
Smell is full of chocolate, hazelnuts, vanilla and malt. Great balance.
Taste is exactly what the nose promised, malty chocolate with hazelnuts and vanilla and a bit of Tootsie roll. Balance is great.
Smooth, drying finish, no warming from the 7.5%, though.

A great overall Porter. The chocolate hazelnut hang on for a little bit but lack an overwhelming aftertaste(i hate long lasting aftertastes). One of the darkest porters i have tried to date. Tried this after falling in love with the CPB Stout and this is a close second to me on their long list of outstanding brews. If you are a porter fan i recommend taking the trip. If you like beer period i recommend this establishment, they will not disappoint.

Had on tap at OMG Batch 008 release.

A: Poured into a snifter this brew pours as dark as the darkest porter you've every drank. Almost midnight black with a dark tan head that quickly disappears. The only thing this brew is missing is a sturdy head.

S: The aroma is amazingly complex for a porter. Heavy chocolate, nuts, caramel dominate the noise. It is one of those brews that just makes your mouth water.

T: The flavor is just as amazing if not better. Chocolate covered hazel nuts. No offensive notes in this brew, this almost is more of a stout than a porter. Sweet mault, no hop presence, but not overly sweet. This brew is an English porter due to its lack of hops and mild mault flavors.

MF: The mouth feel is silky smooth. It coats your mouth with its awesome flavor. Perfect amount of carbonation.

Overall, this brew is awesome. If you haven't checked out Rapp, please do. They are brewing some of the best beer in Fl, and dare I say the south as well!
