Reviewed from notes. Had on nitro-tap at Rapp Brewing Company tasting room.
A: Nearly black, opaque, with a tan head of the nitro fine bubbles and the circulating movement.
S: Creamy chocolate, cacao, lactose sweetness.
T: Milk chocolate, lactose creamy milkiness, just a bit of bitter cacao. Mild sweetness on the hang.
M: Creamy smooth mouthfeel, a bit sticky, alcohol well-hidden.
O: It tastes like chocolate milk as a beer...not a lot else to say. Far from complex, but tasty and not so sweet as to be cloying or not drinkable. I think this *might* be the base beer of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout (both had the same ABV listed on the board when I was there), and as such I'm not sure if it should be a Milk Stout or an American Stout. Either way, quite enjoyable.
