Had this at the Bistro's 22nd annual IPA festival on April 13, 2019. First review here, and wow, its not even on untappd! Hey wait a minute. . . this abv is the exact same as their more popular 831. . . did they just give it a new name?
Poured yellow and brass like color, 2/5" white head. Aromatic grassiness in the hop nose. Nose seemed to be mostly the C hop tree like notes with just a hint of Citra on it. I liked it for its relative uniqueness. Not enough C hops old school blended with newer proprietary hops.
Taste was good, kept the hearty 65 ibu level bitterness and greenness firm throughout. Body was light, dry and crisp. Magnum/simcoe used in here I'm thinking, just has that firmness to it. Has that herbal dank herb feel from a colder region, not a warmer Mosaic or Nelson like vibe, this is those flowers in the snow bloom. Crisp ctz playing both sides of the ball.
