What were YOU doing Last Friday? On-tap at burger, on to the beer:
Lighter orange in color, which is pretty enough to see, however the highlight is the lacing, which covers much of the glass. The nose is soft and hopy. Soft fruits come to mind, such as melons, canteloupe, and a little pine comes around.
I want to say that New Zealand hops are the secret ingredient to this killer IPA. The overall flavor isn't over the top hoppy, but rather mellow. That mellowness bring a soft character that is easy to appreciate (and drink!). Oranges, canteloupe, pine, and grapefruit take the palate on a fruity ride. Who needs vitamin juice when there's this? Its carbonation is lower than I prefer, however remains very drinkable and exciting.
Who are these guys? Last Friday just grows on you quietly, and when you're done, you realize how good this beer is. Bust out Taphunter and start looking for it.

Imbibed on tap at Good Karma on 9/7/12.
Looks a clear copper with two fingers white rocky head. Laces well. Good amount of citrusy, piney hops and a solidly biscuit malt. Malt starts the flavor off smoothly, amplifying to a biscuity, cereal flavor. The hops fade in lemony and almost sour/vinegary to a piney bitterness. Feel is middling with a dry finish.
Very solid IPA. The sour vinegar is a bit off putting, but it may just be due to my previous tasting of a Brett beer (separate glass was used for this one). Mostly balanced with a tendency towards hoppiness. Just how I like it.

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy dark gold with a fluffy white head, perfect for floating an actual hop cone on -- yes, that’s how it’s served. Aroma is sweet and citric with oranges, candied lemon peel, unripe grapefruit. Taste is similar, with an emphasis on that grapefruit pith and a zesty piney finish.
