Brasseri Champigneulles “Steinburg Clásica”
33 cl can coded “13:20 5 L33289. 10/2024” and sampled on 24/11/2023
Look: Clear golden in color beneath a full head of white that holds fairly well.
Smell:The aroma is earthy over a dry but still adjunct-laden malt with some herbal, earthy, and spicy hops. There’s a bit of an unusual phenolic to it as well which is probably driven by a hot and quick fermentation.
Taste: Earthy, metallic, and softly grainy and lightly sweetish malt is smeared with some herbal and lightly spicy hop notes from both real hops and hop extract. What’s the adjunct in use here? It’s corn. A moderate bitterness balances it and it finishes semi-dry despite it being semi-dry upfront, which leaves it very one-sided.
Feel: Medium bodied and gently crisp in the mouth.
Overall: Poorly brewed, and done so with inferior ingredients. It’s inexpensive but hardly worth it in my opinion.

Jan. 2017: 330 ml can, from a minimarket in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. ABV is 4.8%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Weak aroma. Decent pilsener flavour, slightly dry, nothing special, but not bad either. Slightly fruity.

This again is the kind of cheap Euro Lager, I think this was 20 cents in Barcelona. Tastes like metal (not nice) still much better than your average Euro Lagers. My favorite was it's 1L version in a glass bottle like the real American Malt Liquors for only 65 cents! Boom! But would I drink it? Would I f...

Vacationing with family on the Canary Island of Tenerife. I tried pretty much all of the local beers here and they're all the same. Junk in a can... Come on, Europe! Embrace good beer!

One of the worst cheap macro beers in Spain. In the past it was brewed by Font Salem and it was much better. Now its pure garbage
