Bought from Asda Cambridge, UK. 500ml bottle £1.20 (!) BB: 10/2025. At 5.5%, what with the tax on that ABV% it doesn't leave huge scope for this quality of this beer to shine, but we will see! Apart from this^ info it's blind-tasted.
L- Well carbonated My nucleated glass causes the 3cm head to run-away a little too fast. Pale golden, the head is giving way now, just off-white.
S- Dry, grains, possibly a touch adjuncty?
T- Thin/artificial, then through to a touch heftier to briefly very hoppy-dry in the finish. Sip2 is a repeat of that.
F- Good job it's 5.5% or it would have little to offer character-wise. At least it has a bit of heft to it. CO2 in the mouth is ok.
O- This isn't a beer you remember for anything positive. Strikes me as a beer to session if you want to get lashed on the cheap. I still get a sense of adjunct... don't know. I expect I can finish it but it's not a beer I'd wish to drink again.
Now rated in draft I'll check the lable for clues. The ingredients only list barley malt, so who knows what else it might contain...

In a world of macrolager dishonesty and capitalist tyranny of the powerful these cheap, properly brewed lager imports with a decent % have become the resistance. Is it the best beer in the world? No. Is it vastly superior to the UK brewed monstrosities that now dominate the UK lager options? Absolutely. It has a nice Pilsnery tang. And a punchy 5.5% £1.10 per 500ml bottle. Get down to ASDA and stock up, because who knows how long this will last.

330ml can, purchased as a four pack for £2.50 in ASDA. The very cheap price is not reflected in the beer. I used to avoid cheap French lager, but this has became a regular in my fridge. The beer punches well above its price and a nice abv of 5.5 means excellent bang for your buck.
Enjoy!!

500ml brown bottle purchased from Asda supermarket for £1, served cool into pilsner mug.
L) Pale golden colour, thin white head, clear, small bubbles rising. Pilsner-esque.
S) Bready lager malts for sure, some bitter saaz hops, metallic hints.
T) Like a cheap German pils. Clean light bready malt with a fruity tinge. Light hop bitterness. Very clean taste.
F) Light and refreshing, no skanky aftertastes, nicely carbonated.
O) I'm well happy for £1, will buy it again if it stays at that price.
