On tap at the Saint-Pub : Clear, slightly veiled, copper color. Creamy dark beige 1 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with strong legs and a good swirl. Flavors of brown sugar, dark malts, dark berries, toffee, Belgian yeast, spices, and herbal hops. Soft creamy medium body with light carbonation. Strong strength finish, thick sugary malts, lots of caramel and spices, quite bready and a bit leafy. Way too much sweetness and not enough attenuation, even for the style, missing some freshness. The balance is alright. Although the alcohol is very well hidden, not vinous nor boozy, yet I still find it lacks some complexion. This is a desert in a glass. Overall good quality craft.
