About 20 or so taps, a nice (small but good) selection of bottles, tables inside and out along the street. Knowledgeable staff and very laid back and friendly. Definitely stop by if your on the island.

First time visiting, very friendly and knowledgable staff, got treated with respect and given great suggestions. Some rad local music, relatively not busy, and some beers you couldn't find anywhere else. Was hoping for some Galveston Island brew offering(s), but there were plenty of other Texas ones to make up for it. The IPA wings were on point, I tried a rad 10% Hercules IPA by Great Divide and got a 20oz for the price of 16 on a Tuesday ($5.00). With wings, beer, and tip considered, we spent just a little over 15 bucks. Will definitely drop by next time I'm in town. From Beaumont, Texas.

Decent beer list. Out of date beer list led to questions about beers in the cooler and on the counter. Not helpful or friendly in responding to inquiries about available bottles. Would not return.

These guys were awesome. Very open about what beers they might have stashed away if you just ask. I know they offered me some really cool stuff. Highlight of the night was when one of the guys behind the bar offered me a pour of the New Glarus Raspberry Tart he had traded for. Awesome guys, great service, great selection.

The best beer bar in Galveston - no contest. Great, ever-changing selection of awesome beers, and the beer they brew and put on tap is a must try. The Brews Brothers '15 barrel-aged stout is no doubt one of the best beers I've ever had. If you love beer, go here. You won't be sorry. It's a special place.

My first visit here will not be my last. Walked into an unassuming brew pub on The Strand on Galveston island early on a Saturday. I was greeted promptly by Jimmy and quickly started to study the house made 'Boo! I'm a scary Gose'. Delicious and refreshing for a hot June day in South Texas. The tap selection is not what I expected. It went above and beyond! Several fresh IPAs, the aforementioned Gose, and some fantastic Texas porters and stouts, not to mention a deep cellar and bottle list. Once you get past the world class brews, you find yourself deciding what to eat. If you are looking for something light go with the Ploughman's platter. The pickled pineapple seems a bit strange, but your palate will thank you. If you are a carnivore like I am you can not beat the burgers. *NOTE* Go one step further and get the 5150 burger where they do a 50/50 mixture of ground bacon and ground beef cooked to perfection.
Between the Extraordinary brews, the incredible food, and the fantastic service this place would draw a huge crowd where ever it happens to be. Galveston is lucky to have a brew pub of this caliber for all the craft beer enthusiasts who are on the island and those that visit.

It was a slow Sunday night so atmosphere was hard to gauge. The bartender was helpful and friendly and the choices were surprisingly well selected. "Surprising" because the choices for craft beer in Galveston are few and far between. I started with a local ipa from Independence brewery(Stash) that was very ordinary. Finished with a couple Moylans Hopsickle's which were exactly the opposite in flavor. Overall I hope they survive and bring many more people to the understanding that there is more than fizzy, yellow beers!

Came in here on a Tuesday night. I had never been in here before, but heard they carried a good selection of craft beers. I walked by the place with the intention of going in only if it looled inviting and low-key. It did, but I hear it can be quite crowded at times. In any case, it was exactly what I was looking for on a rainy, early Tuesday evening. There were only a handful of people in there and I easily found an uncrowded seat at the bar. They indeed have a great selection of craft brews on tap and in bottles, including many bombers. Great local selection as well those from afar. In fact, all they have is craft beer, except for a small, but adequate selection of wine, and a few other odds and ends. However, they will be adding a kitchen soon.
The bartender's name was Nate, I believe, who was very friendly, knowledgable and easy to talk to about beers, brewing, etc. They apparently have a 100 gallon in-house brewery being delivered real soon with the first batch projected to be available for consumption in April.
This is a great place, and a must-visit for any beer lover who happens to be in Galveston.

Excellent selection of microbrews, both local and not local... The bartender was quite helpful and made 3 great suggestions, one of which was Coney Island Reunion '12. I wish I could have found closer parking but that's no fault of the venue.
What they lack in draught selection they make up for in bottles. Some of the brands I have had before and saw there are Real Ale, Stone, and Dogfish Head.
They are hoping to serve food soon, as I was informed. The gas line doesn't run into the historic building and they are finding contractors to start work.

Brew's brothers is the best place in Galveston, hands down, to get a good craft beer. Even among all the other bars, especially on the strand, these guys have a better selection, and better prices than anyone. It kind of stinks that they don't have a liquor license yet, nor are they making food. I fully expect that once they do get said permits their food will be awesome.
The only downsides right now are that there isn't a pool table (their is foozeball) and they don't have food. I expect once they start brewing their own beers there will be even more reason to go there. Plus they've been having a trivia night every Wednesday at 730pm with money off the winning teams' tab.
