Clear pale orange-yellow. Lots of small bubbles formed on the side of the glass, while a moderate number of small bubbles rose from the bottom. Poured a thick white head that broke down into larger bubbles over a couple of minutes, but still half a finger thick after several minutes. Left some spotty lacing high on the glass. There was considerable sediment in the bottle that stayed in a lump and didn't mix in during the pour.

Slight sour scent with a small amount of floral hops and a bit of a lemony citrus. Swirling the glass kicked up stronger lemon and a little orange, with just a hint of barnyard.

Fresh and light cereal malt and hop flavors balance against the bitters and hold most of the bitters in check until the mid and aftertaste. Couldn't taste any of the citrus that I could smell. The overall flavor profile is more like a really heavy pilsner than an ale. The bitters build up over time so that it tastes far more bitter towards the end of the glass than at the beginning.

Medium prickly on the tongue. Grows to a foam with large bubbles. Medium to heavy body.

A little thin on the malt flavors for an IPA. The bitters build and stick to your tongue. It would have been better if some of the citrus made it through to the flavor.

Appearance - Pours a straw gold with three fingers of frothy white head.

Smell - Belgian yeast, clove, black pepper, spicy hops, coriander, citrus.

Taste - Belgian yeast and spices initially, but then quickly hits you with a spicy hop whammy! Moderate level of hop bitterness that lingers.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky on the palate.

Overall - A white IPA that kicks you in the teeth with hop presence, which was a bit of a surprise as the aroma didn't suggest that would be the case. For me, it hits all the marks of the style.
