West Coast style Double IPA hopped to the heavens with huge additions of Citra, Simcoe, Chinook, Columbus, and Calypso. This one bursts with citrus character and finishes dank and resinous, like they used to be. This isn’t business casual.

Sits slightly hazy, solid gold in the glass. White head falls to a thin cap. Smell is all citrus and tropical fruits with some melon there too. Taste follows nose with a dank, piney, resinous finish. Perfectly bitter too. Some alchohol present in the mouth. This beer seems slick and medium bodied. Overall, this is full of flavor and a nice reminder that hop bitterness is not a bad thing! The alcohol makes itself known so one must be careful! It's even better given Free Will is right down the street and I can get the beer fresh.

A thanks to the incredible woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a lightly clouded golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, light berries. Taste is dank, resin, light fruitiness, considerable bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Golden yellow in color with a light haze. Poured with a tall, soapy, bright white foam with good retention. Medium light citrus and over-ripe pineapple aromas with grainy, pilsner malt in tow. Light boozy notes. Medium bodied with soft, medium carbonation. The soft carbonation helps create a light creamy feel followed by well-tempered boozy warmth. Tropical citrus and over-ripe pineapple flavors with a solid malty backbone. Pine hop bitterness ramps up through the middle and sustains to the end along with boozy sweetness. Finished with notes of alcohol, malt and pine hop bitterness. Well balanced with slightly subdued hop aromas, but aggressive but not overwhelming bitterness. Hop bitterness was high but quickly faded at the finish. Solid malt character. Very tasty.

This is a very piney and insanely bitter Double IPA that features a bitterness that lasts for several seconds (minutes even) after you take a sip. Some mild fruitiness upfront and a resinous floral note toward the middle and end. A very nice and enjoyable beer.

Pours golden-orange with moderate thick head and abundant lacing. Smell is bitter hops and orange fruit. Taste starts with citrus hops and quickly beers to excessively bitter orange: way too heavy on the bitterness for my taste. Feel is sticky and thick, appropriate for the style. Overall, this would be better if bitterness were toned down a bit.
EDIT: giving this another chance. Can is about 3 weeks old. strong note of lemon-lime is coming through that I didn’t notice the first time. Crisp. Raising rating a bit.
