A Brett barrel aged saison with locally sourced ingredients from Deer Creek Malthouse and orchard fresh whole Montmorency cherries (pits and all) from Weiser Orchards, creating a rustic, complex beer with balanced earthy cherry flavors and an underlying malt profile reminiscent of homestyle hearth baked pie crust.

2017 vintage. Poured from a corked bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Nearly clear pink tinged golden pour to start... some sediment clouds the 2nd pour. Big foamy white head leaves great lacing.
S: Funk... cherry/berry, oak, and more funk. Barnyard and hay with lots of Brett.
T.F: Tart and fruity. Baking cherry/pie with funk and oak. The Brett is forward... musty and complex. Some green fruit and earth. More cherry. Modest acidity. Medium to light bodied... ABV well hidden.
O: An outstanding Brett and barrel aged cherry sour. Really enjoyed this one. Great flavor and drinkability.
