Inspired by Speculoos cookies, this Imperial Spiced Brown ale was aged for four months in an array of seasoned rum barrels, imparting warm vanilla and caramel notes, which perfectly compliment the confectionery spices of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg.

Poured medium coffee brown with a short and brief manilla head.
The aroma was cinnamon and sweet malts.
The taste brought the whole gambit, cardamon fore and vanilla wrap the cinnamon and lactose gives it all a touch of sweetness and smooth softness.
The feel was very nice for a brown, especially BA Imperial. Light and a touch of viscous.
OA, seriously enjoyed this, thanks Jay!

Shared this with a good friend who also enjoys brown ales. We both enjoyed it very much. Pours creamy, murky brown from the bomber with good head and lacing. Warm and comforting smell and taste. Cinnamon, ginger, molasses and vanilla. We had this as our last dessert beers and it was an excellent way to top off the evening. Will get it again if possible.

Poured from a bomber into a Delerium Tremens tulip. An Imperial Spiced Brown Ale as per the brewer.

L: Slightly cloudy molasses brown pour with thin fizzy head. Modest lacing.

S: Smells like a ginger-snap cookie. Ginger, sweetness, and spice. Very faint rum.

T/F: Follows the nose. Gingersnaps in beer form. The rum provides a little sugar/booze... but mostly this tastes like a god damned cookie. Cloying and sweet... spiced... and some boozy alcohol heat.

O: Kind of a mess really, but seeing as they're going for a rum aged 'cookie' they hit what they inexplicably aimed for. Not drinkable.. and 3 of us were barely able to put down the bomber. Still... it's unique... and I'm glad I got to try it. Wouldn't go for it again.
