This mixed culture saison was foudre fermented and finished in a single wine barrel with handpicked dandelion flowers from the grounds surrounding the brewery. Fresh, soft floral notes, with pleasant leafy, green bitterness, sun warmed earth, and dandelion milk sap.

Fantastic Saison- light on the floral notes. Great dryness! Probably ready to drink, now. Prolonged aging doesn't seem like it'll change much about this beer, so enjoy it!

Clear gold, highly effervescent, with two-plus fingers of rocky, white head. Decent retention and solid lacing.
Lovely aroma of light pear, lemon, peach and clear wood. A little skunky, funky weediness behind.
Delicately sweet up front with the same light fruitiness from the nose, joined quickly by the wood and what I assume is a dandelion weed quality. Fairly strong bitterness helps balance out a dry, almost puckering finish.
Just a hint of heft and some tight carbonation in the understated mouthfeel suit this saison nicely.
Another excellent brew from one of the more underrated beer makers.

Poured from a 12.7 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Nearly clear golden pour with thick fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Tart and funky... citrus, herbal notes, and funk.
T.F: Tart up front. Some fruit sweetness, lemon citrus, funk, and oak. Some floral character but damned if I know what the dandelion is adding. Complex and lightly acidic... white wine and green fruit. Light bodied... fizzy carbonation. Tart and fruity to finish.
O: An absolutely outstanding Saison. Delicious, unique, and one to seek out.
