16 oz can

Pours black, with tan colored head that fades. Aroma and taste there is a ton of caramel, and do get the graham cracker moreso than chocolate. Definitely a dessert beer, but just very sweet. Too much so for me. Full bodied .

A - Very dark brown pour, almost black in color, creamy caramel colored lacing,

S - Nice chocolate aroma with caramel saltiness.

T - Chocolate char, roasted cocoa, light saltiness, finishes on the sweeter side with nice lingering chocolate salty roast.

M - Thick and velvety with sugary lip-smacking sweetness on the lips.

O - This is pretty fantastic and worth a look.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can of this beer into my trusty snifter. The beer pours a clear cola brown color from the can but is black coffee with no light passing through once it fills my glass. The foam is minimal from the pour and is almost completely absent after a few sips.
Aroma on the beer is sweet with chocolate, caramel, some roasted malts and brown sugar, maybe a little vanilla. Pretty sweet scented nose on this beer and not really any hop presence to note. The ABV is well hidden and I dont get any booze character on the nose.
First sip reveals a smooth texture and soft and gentle carbonation that easily rolls across my palate. Body is medium to thick, but the beer is dangerously drinkable.
Flavor is what the nose advertises with chocolate, caramel and brown sugar sweetness with a little roasted malt. Again, no hops and hidden booze.
This beer is sweet from start to finish and is big ABV, but well hidden. Could be a little darker in color and a little thicker, but it is a tasty beer and I like it. Wouldnt drink more than 2 in one night due to sweetness of the flavor.

Free Will is less than two miles from my home...my favorite local joint. And no, I didn't share this... LOL.

Pours a deep, brown, mostly opaque color. Very little head.

A bit mellow on the aroma...doesn't really have the intense smell you might expect...but....

The taste is amazing! Roasted malts with a distinctive chocolate taste with caramel (just like the name implies) Very sweet like a dessert beer. The ABV is well hidden.

What can I say but that John at FW continues to put out beers that push the boundries. Another great beer from one of my favorite breweries...well done!

First things first - yes, I shared it with a friend.

Pours a dark brown color with beige and copper edges and a half finger of head. The nose has potent notes of chocolate and caramel. The flavor is reminiscent of a S'more upfront but the backend finishes somewhat artificial.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Dark, dark brown pour... nearly black with thick creamy off-white head. Great lacing.

S: Sweet and roasty. Caramel and cocoa.

T.F: Sweet up front. Big time chocolate... caramel, burned sugars, and roasted malts. Very mild coffee and a bit of bitterness for balance. Smooth and creamy... medium bodied and warming. ABV packs a punch.

O: A very tasty dessert stout. Delivers on the name... definitely a treat and a great beer to share.
