16 oz can poured into a tulip glass. Pour looks like blueberry puree. Looks thick and dense in the glass. Purplish head falls to thin, thin laces of foam. Smell is straight blueberry cobbler a la mode with the berry, graham cracker crust, vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar. Taste follows nose with the flavors of blueberry, graham, and vanilla up front. A bit of sourness and bitterness, a little saltiness kicks in, but it's not as sharp as some other goses. Feel is medium bodied with a nice tight carbonation that gives it a little zip on the tongue. Overall, this is a dessert in a can. It's not a "traditional" gose, I'd say, but many of the characteristics are there. Certainly doesn't drink like it's a 7.5% beer, that's for sure.

4pk purchased at the Free Will Brewery in Perkasie. $20/4pk (16oz cans)

Pours a hazy, opaque reddish color. Very little head.

A nice aroma of blueberry and graham cracker...very inviting.

A delicious taste of sour blueberries with a distinct flavor of bready crackers. Not overly sour but has a nice bite at the end.

Another beer from Free Will that pushes what can be done when the right ingredients are combined. John Stemler, head brewmaster, is an expert at putting out beers that are consistently delicious. Highly recommended!
