Free Will Brewing Co. "Free Will Brewing Co."
16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 11/5/28" (not a typo on my part; it's obviously 20) and sampled on 11/28/20
Notes via stream of consciousness: They've got the hops listed on the label (Azacca, Cashmere, Huell Melon), and it's made with 100% PA craft malt which is nice. It's poured a hazy deep golden body beneath a finger's width of white foam. The aroma is fruity as might be expected, and I get a little bit of the Huell Melon but not much. Other notes include soft tropical notes of guava and mango. On to the flavor... it's fuller but still very soft in terms of the fruitiness. What did I list already? Melon... yeah, there's a touch... guava, certainly... mango, yes. What I'm really getting is some papaya. There's a little bit of orange to it as well, and then a little bit of pine, spice and grass in the finish. I don't want you to think that this is a loaded up tropical juice bomb though - it's not - but these notes are all there. Like I said, it's a very soft fruitiness. AND, keep in mind that this is a pale ale and not an IPA. If it was an IPA I'd be bummed that it didn't have more hops to it. As it is I think it's very nice. So what else? It's got a low level bitterness but it still dries in the finish with just a drop of fruitiness remaining among the lingering spice, grass, and pine. I'd call this a fairly light and easy to drink hazy pale... what's the ABV? 5.2%, ahhh, yeah, that makes sense. It's light-medium in body and generally crisp with a standard carbonation level. I'll say the exact same thing about this as the last beer I just had, which also happens to have been another hazy pale ale: it's a decent, easy drinking beer that could step in for your regular on any given night, but it's not going to thrill you. If you love that tropical juiciness though, you might want to grab some.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
