Matte black with a short-lived, soupy mocha crown. It leaves a last crown and spotty lacing.
Decadent aroma with chocolate, communion wine, sherry and vanilla.
The taste has strong, bitter Baker’s cocoa and plenty of alcohol heat. There are flashes of caramel and vanilla mix-palate. Some red wine and dark fruit mixes with the bitter chocolate in the finish. There’s a very slight herbal bitterness as well.
Creamy, slick, medium bodied with strong carbonation fizz.
The nose on this is other level, and the rest of the beer isn’t too far behind. One of the better Ralphius variants for sure.

Part of my Ralphius collection obtained during Christmas. This is an excellent beer and will try to get the 2021 version if possible.
Beautiful black color with nice initial head and great curtain lacing. Red wine and chocolate smell and taste. Dark fruit and dark berries, licorice.. the flavors meld so very well. Had it on Inauguration Day which was peaceful and gives needed hope.
