\It’s been a little while since we’ve had a beer of this style on our shelf… As you know, we’ve experimented a bit with these over the years - first originating with Community Kölsch seemingly ages ago, then Crisper of most recent. This is our next, taking inspiration from both of these. Low temperature conditioning and the same classic yeast strain of bygone created yet another crisp, minerally, and moderately fruity, vinous-like beverage.

A decent kolsch but nothing off the charts. Works for one but then had me moving on to better FW offers of which there are many options.

Finger of bony white head takes shape over a pale golden body. It's not "hazy" exactly, but there's a lot of (I assume) spent yeast particles swimming about. That look is never terribly appetizing; it's like they're suspended in gelatin or something. They'll probably settle to the bottom eventually, though. Smells OK; lightly toasted bread and something kind of fruity. Grape? Maybe some floral hops. I'm getting grape, again, on the tongue and can only assume that I'm losing my marbles. It's like wine in beer form. Super crisp. Lower level bittering; just enough to remind you it's beer. Kind of a weird one, but I don't dislike it.

Part of a Christmas delivery from my Pittsburgh sister-in-law!
Poured from a can into a tall pint glass (also received at Christmas). Clear yellow color with good head and lacing. Floral, slightly sweet smell and taste. Could be a bit crisper in taste. Full bodied feel. Overall a nice kolsch style beer.
