This strong golden German-style lager was brewed with fine pilsner and vienna malts and hopped with Saaz and a touch of Pahto. This beer differs from your typical amber-colored “Oktoberfest” or Märzen style lager… color aside, this will be more crisp and reliant upon hop character (a tad bit more bitter) - than what you’ve probably seen popping up at every bar around. Carbed to a slightly lower level than we would typically of lager, this one is meant to be guzzled down and then guzzled some more. This beer has a supportive malt backbone, with a delicate spicy and somewhat floral hop character. Uber dry with a brilliant white head.

Very average festbier, nothing standing out here. It’s light on flavor which may be a plus for some, if I do an Oktoberfest I want some type of heartiness.

Looks like you'd think it would. Smells grainy; bready, I guess. The hops come off Earthy to me. Smells like a beer I want to drink. STAT; There's a football game starting! Definitely lightly carbed, but it doesn't lead to a heavy beer. This is very crushable, which is apparently what they were going for. My "crushing" days, however, are over, so I'll just sip it. Nice sweet malt base, but it does take a backseat to the hops, which come off more or less like they smell. I'm gonna sound like an asshole, but they've got kind of a dead maple leaf vibe. Don't ask me to explain that; I'm a pothead. Good beer, though. I may well have a second.

16 oz can

pours a clear medium yelllow goldn, thick foamy bone-white head. aroma is bready, with a touch of grassy and woody hops. similar flavor, fairly balanced. medium bodied, fuller mouthfeel than I expected.
