Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Cherries, Cacao Nibs, Tahitian Vanilla, and Coconut
This blended stout was made from beer aged in a bourbon barrel with cacao nibs, a bourbon barrel full of Tahitian vanilla beans, a portion of a barrel aging on coconut flakes, and of course the base beer to taste, along with cherries fermented together with a fresh batch of this new stout we developed in 2021.
Rooted in complexity and balance, this beer has tantalizing notes of dark chocolate, Black Forest cake, and dark fruit.

Grateful for @jzeilinger sending this my way!
8.4oz can poured into a Council Belgian-style tulip
P black w/ a tiny tan head
N sharp jammy cherries with a bit of chocolate cake in the background; simple, yet unique and inviting
T semi-sweet cherries and choc cake from the nose combine with light roast, and barrel; leads into a warming brandy finish with light heat; really good
Mf med to med-full bodied w/ soft to soft-med carb; velvety smooth
O excellent stuff; would happily have again given the opportunity

Dirty, filthy, evil black pour. Head vanishes to just the thinnest ring in short order. It looks the part. Smells good. You really get the cherry. A bit of barrel char. Nothing really stands out too much above the rest, though, except maybe the cherry. Well-balanced nose, if maybe slightly muted. Great mouthfeel, thick and rich without too much residual sugar (a recent peeve of mine). Maybe a touch more carbonation than anticipated, but perhaps that's for a reason. I dunno; it certainly doesn't bother me. Very complex and tasty flavor profile. Tastes like some kind of chocolate cherry cake soaked in booze. Warming, which is welcome here as I stubbornly refuse to turn the furnace on in October. Sweet, but not "holy shit my teeth are gonna rot outta my head" sweet. Good, fun beer.

Canned on: ???
A - Pitch black pour with dense, thick, toffee colored lacing.
S - Toasted cocoa, Bourbon, Brandy, and coconut dominate the nose. Overall aroma is light syrupy booze.
T - Toasty chocolate malt base along with toasted coconut, Brandy, and Bourbon. Finishes on the sweeter boozier side with really nice lingering chocolate toast on the palate.
M - Light syrupy body, some warming in the back of the throat, and leaves a sticky sugary residue on the lips.
O - This is a pretty flavorful beer. I'm not a fan of Brandy Barrel beers but this one really works.

Pours deep brown. Aroma is straightforward & dominated by the cherries. Some slight hints of chocolate and vanilla. Taste follows nose - strong cherry with some vanilla and cocoa. Unfortunately, I missed any notes of the bourbon. Medium mouthfeel. A really tasty stout.
