Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Peanuts, Cacao Nibs, Madagascar Vanilla, and Sea Salt.
This blended stout was crafted from one part stout aged in a bourbon barrel packed full of roasted peanuts, one part stout aged in a bourbon barrel filled with cacao nibs, one part aged with Madagascar vanilla beans, and of course the base beer. The blend was then dosed with a touch of sea salt before packaging, so very nicely wrapping the whole thing together.
Each ingredient swirls together in harmony, with layers of complexity that evolve with each sip. This is far from a peanut butter stout, instead the peanuts blend ever so seamlessly into this rich and flavorful beverage. The beauty of this series is though the influence is often obvious, these beers take a life of their own as the final blend comes together.

Enjoyed on cask at the Bulls Head.
This was an interesting treat. I got lots of chocolate, moderate peanuts, mild bourbon character, faint vanilla, and I can't say I detected any salt. The was robust for a hand pump and the carbonation was soft and creamy. Overall this came together really well.
