Imperial Stout aged one year in a single, local, Boardroom Spirits rum barrel. Notes of burnt sugar, vanilla, and raw sugarcane. 14.6% ABV - 342 bottles

Pours black with a raspberry hue and a half-finger of dark mocha head. Decent retention for this series. Settles into a messy crown. Little lacing.
Huge rich caramel and creamy chocolate in the nose. A little gentian root and some fairly clear spirits, although I’m not sure I would peg it for rum if sniffing blind.
The taste follows closely. Absolutely decadent with the caramel, chocolate and strong booze. Hints of gentian and root beer, coupled with some decent bitterness and underlying tar.
Very creamy mouthfeel with tight fizz.
All around amazing beverage. Wish I’d bought more.
