One of my last Ralphius for the 2021-2022 season. Enjoying this beer in multiple ways. Work has been a bitch but the Good Lord helping get through. It is a cold night and might have ice. I had a goal tonight at hockey.
I poured this beer from a bottle into a tulip glass. Oily black color with a nice initial head and lacing. Boozy, whiskey smell and taste. Pleasant warm ness. Chocolate and molasses. Beer to make you happy!

Matte black with a thin mocha head that quickly settles into a soupy crown. Spotty lacing.
Intriguing aroma of creamy chocolate, caramel and vanilla, maybe even butterscotch, coupled with young leather, rose petals, angostura bitters, potpourri, cinnamon, amaretto and whisky.
Less candy-ish than many of its new school contemporaries the taste still shows dark chocolate, caramel, cola, gentian, leather and plenty of booze. All the sweet elements are tempered by some firm, but understated underlying char.
Somewhat syrupy feel. Tight, soft carbonation.
Impressive balance of what could be sickly sweet flavors floated on top of really dark undertones.
