Black with a garnet hue and a small mocha head that audibly fizzes away in seconds to a faint wisp and pencil-thin crown.
Vanilla and chocolate in the nose gives way to toffee and kiss of meaty, peat moss smoke.
Vanilla, chocolate and a hint of cherry cola up front in the taste, all fairly sweet, with a little of that meaty smoke on the backend.
Medium bodied and sticky feeling with modest carbonation.
Smoke isn’t my favorite quality in a beer, but this has a light touch adding some depth and mystery to what otherwise would definitely be one of the sweeter-tasting offerings in this series.
