Pours near black with a garnet hue. Thin finger of mocha head. Settles fairly quickly into a wisp and thick crown that leaves modest lacing.
Vanilla, leather, cocoa and a hint of smoke in the nose.
High quality, dark chocolate fudge provides the foundation for the taste. Within that are layers of caramel, vanilla, some noticeably jam-like dark-fruit. Hints of toffee, almond and coffee. Warming alcohol. Superb.
The taste is thicker and creamier than many Ralphius. Tight carbonation.
World class taste that exudes depth and quality. An absolute treat.

on draft at the brewery - in 3 oz taster glass (the only option)
black in color, not much head. More subdued aroma than other variants but still very pleasant. Definitely pick up a little grape from the cognac but its underneath the oak, light toffee, soft vanilla
