Matte black with a thin dark mocha head that quickly settles into a thin crown. No lacing.
Creamy chocolate, cola, vanilla and a hint of anise in the nose.
Chocolatey taste again with a little cola, then a fairly strong peppery bite in the finish with some alcohol burn.
Creamy feel with restrained carbonation.
I probably would have mistaken this for rye if trying it blind. Quite peppery / spicy. Very tasty.
