By looks, this is just another wheat/oat pseudo IPA. The pour from a pint can induces an extra-large stark white head just not natural for a properly barley malted IPA. Repeated sampling of its ilk diminishes hopes of drinking a great beer. Now inside a clear glass liter mug, a very hazy strawberry blond brew can be witnessed. The pint can now emptied, there is a disappointingly spare aroma coming from within. A little starch and then just a little hops are all that's there for the nose. But, both are so faint, there's no describing them. This isn't quite as bland a drink as it was to smell. There's a shallow sweetness as a starchy background, but the hops are citrusy, light, clean and pronounced enough to make this work. Although light to the palate, the mouthfeel is better than average and compliments the hopping quite well. This is very drinkable, as it's light, reasonably hoppy and has a fairly well hidden 7+% ABV. It's not going to be considered a great one, but this is a surprisingly good AIPA, well worth the price.
