Coffee Liqueur Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Pine Nuts, and Milk Sugar. Dreamt up and executed in tandem with our friends in western PA at Maggie's Farm Rum.
This beer (our “new stout” base introduced in slim cans last year) spent the better part of 2021 in a single coffee liqueur barrel brought out to us from Pittsburgh, along with Madagascar vanilla beans and a bunch of New Mexican piñon nuts from the good folks at Rowley Farmhouse Ales. This beer is most certainly coffee (all from the barrel) and milk chocolate forward with a slight nuttiness, finishing with a bit of a lingering pine resin character.
