Pours pale and cloudy, as it should. Thin white foam cap. It looks the part. Smells it too. It's wheat and yeast-forward with subdued notes of citrus and spice. It's pleasant, if maybe a bit restrained, on the nose. Taste amps up the spice a bit. I'm getting black pepper right up front. I realize they didn't use pepper, but that's what I taste. Subdued citrus on the finish. Belgian yeast and all that that entails. Soft, easy-drinking mouthfeel. Yeah. This is pleasant and well-crafted. Probably too subdued for some, but it's hitting the spot for me after a long, hot weekend of yard work.
