Pours plum-hued black with a modest red-tinted mocha head that quickly settles into a wisp and soupy crown.

Earthy maple, distant soy, baker’s chocolate and buckwheat pancakes in the nose. Great balance of dark, mature flavors with the maple sweetness.

The taste has a lot of similar elements, with some sherry and nuttiness added to the mix. Great alcohol heat. Skews a little more sweet than the aroma.

First impression on the mouthfeel is that it’s a little thin. Still very slick and creamy. Tight, soft carbonation.

Another impressive beer in this series, even if others are more transcendent.

pours an inky jet black, tan colored head that eventually fades. Great depth of flavor - rich maple mixed with dark chocolate, caramel, bourbon. Thick and smooth like all the variants, but not overly sweet.
