Hazy IPA with Idaho 7, citra, sabro and cascade hops. Collaboration with Troegs and Warwick Farms.
Pours the haziest, most opaque yellow (or orange, depending on the light) I think I've ever seen with an easy 3 fingers of frothy white foam. Nice lacing as it recedes. Shrug. If you're into hazies, this is exactly what you want to see, I reckon. Smells phenomenal. Damn. Just straight-up mandarin oranges with maybe some candied sweetness. There's some fruity background notes, too (pear, grape, melon), but yeah, mandarin orange juice all day. I'm a little less thrilled with the taste, but not by much. It's far more nuanced than most hazies. It's got all the notes I pick up on the nose, but instead of presenting all at once in some shitty fruit hodgepodge, they're layered in waves. Mild citrus pith bitterness on the finish. Nice creamy mouthfeel, too, with a lower grade carbonation that let's the beer breathe a bit. Fucking hell. This is exceptionally well done. I can't remember the last time I had a hazy I truly enjoyed like this.
