Near black with a half finger of soupy mocha-colored head that quickly settles into a large, messy crown that actually leaves decent lacing.
Lovely, boozy aroma of chocolate, caramel, toffee, raisin and dates.
I thought the nose would be hard to top, but the taste is even better. Port wine fruity sweetness mingles with caramel, but is never overly sweet due to the base’s underlying darkness, with notes of cocoa, tobacco and wood.
The feel seems a touch thin in comparison to all these flavors, but is actually fairly viscous, with excellent soft carbonation accompanying.
I’m spoiled by this series, but this one is among the top. Exceptional depth and balance — and the best lacing of the bunch.

The cocoa/chocolate notes are amazing. There are just so many layers here, toasty cocoa, coconut candy bars, high end dark chocolate, and much more. Caramel and smooth booze round things out. The Ralphius line is absolutely upper echelon. Love this one.
