Plum-hued black with a half finger of sloppy dark mocha head that quickly dissipates into a soupy crown. Clear alcohol legs and some very slight lacing.
Chocolate, leather and distant cherry cordial in the nose.
Similar flavors in the taste; with rich, fudgy chocolate and a hint of caramel up front and more of an almond, peanut skin and matte-malt finish. Very strong alcohol burn throughout, and a hint of red wine.
Super thick-bodied, oily feel with soft carbonation fizz.
This one is a bruiser, even for this series. The body of the mouthfeel is phenomenal; the carbonation less to my liking. Great mix of flavors, but also some characteristics that would have me polishing off any remaining barrels on the earlier side.
