This Belgian golden strong is a deceptively powerful version of the style. An estery aroma with subtle notes of vanilla leads to a malty flavor profile complimented by notes of pear and apricot supported by a surprisingly complex tanic structure from the barrels, and ends with a surprisingly crisp finish. Pair this beer with Sushi or mussels for a real Belgian experience.

Deceptively powerful is right. this one will creep up on you then smack you in the head...in a good way. Going back for more soon.

light golden in color, not much head. definitely pick up the fruity flavors in the aroma. not sure there is much from the bourbon barrel. but good flavor. light drinking for a strong beer.
