This beer has a wispy full tan to light brown colored head that sits atop a deep-dark amber-brown to black beer that is somewhat hazy. It shows amber highlights when held up to the light. The aroma has strong notes of coffee, lightly roasted malt and chocolate. The taste is sweet with a solid chocolate note, and finishes off with a smooth, roasty, light bitterness. This is quite quaffable and pretty tasty, I would be happy to drink a couple pints of this. There is some fruitiness here (I get notes of raisin and fig) as well as a hint of vegetal character in the finish.
