I don't understand why more arvada beers have not yet made it onto this site. they do an honorable craft product and do it cleverly. this little gem (which was actually a big gem), was poured from the nitro tap a cream ale golden color with that gorgeous milky white nitro foam and sudsy lace. the nose is fresh sweeter alpha rich west coast hops of the pine family. nitro makes the malt grow in size and texture. it takes on a luxurious middle of the road toast and density, while retaining a pleasurable lightness for a beer of this abv. the bitterness only at the end, and again, the nitro just makes this beer something special for me. it could have won a medal at GABF, honestly. why nobody adds these beers and talks about them blows my mind. from the wheatwine to the barrel aged mild, there is some special stuff going on here (add in the Belgian frites next door and its unstoppable). I personally nominate arvada beer co, and this brew in particular, for my personal award, which is best stuff to graze my palate made in this city in 2013 so far. yeah its early, but it tops some new crooked stave stuff, some local hopped bull and bush offerings, and everything from the new guys at our mutual friend and river north. truly a fabulous brew. nitro makes it. get some.
