Pipeworks Brewing Company

Pipeworks is a production brewery only, no taproom.

While the bottle shop at the brewery remains closed for an extended time, pre-order pickups are still available. Pull in towards the rack of barrels under the sign and park to the left. Call in your order number and they will bring it out to you.

Currently there's not much to see from the parking lot, but luckily some of the brewery staff were outside loading kegs. They encouraged me to take a peek into the brewery, which was pretty huge. Shortly after, someone popped out with my order and even threw in some extras. Alex was great to talk to, very helpful and entertaining to boot.

With any luck, the bottle shop will reopen later this year. It would be nice to test drive a few samples before buying. Selection at any given time is great, they do a variety of styles, from hazies to lagers to BA imperial stouts and more. Quality has been consistent over the last decade i've been drinking their beers, out of the 138 beers i've had so far. Choice Helles and Premium Pils are great, and Ninja vs. Unicorn and Lizard King were early groundbreakers back in the day. Pipeworks have proven themselves to be very consistent and dependable after all these years. Hats off to them, and here's to the next 10 years of Pipeworks!

Just a place to pick up beer but the staff working there will give you samples to your heart's content. The staff is great to chat with about what you like and figure out a beer for you. Best (and kinda only) place to get their barrel aged beers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stopped at The Dojo while on Beer Safari in Chicago a few days ago. Grabbed a few BA Abductions/variants and a BA As You Wish as well as an IPA pak. Happy Happy.
Tastings were great across about a dozen taps and more than a few cans.
Service was fun, friendly and very informative (Mark).
Must stop while in Chicago.

The Dojo is a store to try small samples from draft and buy bottles or cans to go. The quality of the beer is excellent. Service is friendly and helpful. There is always a large selection that includes barrel aged beers exclusive to the store. The Dojo also sells glasses, t-shirts and a giant stuffed unicorn. Awesome!

 

Really interesting spot. You can't drink here, but they will let you sample anything. They have merch and you can pick up a ton of their beer to go. The employees were really cool and made some suggestions. It was pretty simple. Fill out the card with what beer or swag you might want, and they get it for you. Pretty cool.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Scary looking building in a depressing and dangerous looking neighborhood. Great service and selection, but the website needs to be updated daily. Drove from St Louis for Sure Bet to find out it had been sold out long ago.

 

There really isn't much of a vibe since this isn't a tap room or anywhere you could sit or hang out. It gets a four because the employees are helpful and you can always chat with people around you who always seem to be craft beer enthusiasts and rarely just casual drinkers. The quality of the place is very nice. There isn't a lot of space where a customer can go but it is an open space and you can see a lot of the brewing operation. The service is exceptional. The employees are always willing to let you taste whatever they have available and they are more than willing to chat you up about operations, what's next to come out and what they have in plan for the place. Selection is also very good with usually 20+ different beers available for to go. I wish more of the beer was available in cans (IPA/DIPAs specifically) but there are so many options in so many different styles that it is hard not to find something one would enjoy.

Again, this isn't a place where you could go and sit, hang out or even fill a growler (at the moment). This is just a cool, smooth running bottle shop for Pipeworks with a very solid selection of their beers.
