This pours a roasted amber color. There’s a real pleasing nuttiness characteristic to the aroma and that also carries through on the flavor. I’m guessing pecans only because of the region –and the name of the brewery itself—but I could be wrong. It’s not overpowering, and if the roast was dialed up I’d definitely enjoy this as a stout variety. As it is it’s a simple, understated, completely enjoyable brown. Warms well and develops a real interesting character. My last sips were fantastic!
