Light on the coffee but overall drinkable. Great spot, great brews. Will definitely try again! I like traditional stouts & porters and don't want a lot of added flavor- but if you are going to add it I want it to stand out. Good Porter but the coffee flavor was pretty mild

From Notes:
Served on-tap at House of 1000 Beers on 1-22-14
A - Dark ruby brown with one finger of creamy khaki head thick lacing of tightly packed tiny bubbles.
S - Very lacking, some toasted grain, a little nutty, no real coffee aroma detected.
T - Very nutty, mild coffee roasts, toast, milky, toffee, burnt caramels, sweet bread-like quality to it.
M - Creamy smooth
O - This thing is really more of a brown ale than a porter, needs more coffee.

Pours a dark amber brown. Light whiter cored head, though a darker more ominous coating would have been better. Aroma of coffee grounds and roasted malt. The flavor follows suit with the roasted malt and coffee, with just a bit of leafy hops. Medium bodied, well rounded and on the light side of medium bodied. Overall, a slightly above average coffee brew.
