And you thought that "single hop" beers only apply to IPA, did ya? Country Boy brewers lend their hand at showcasing experimental hop #291 upon a dry and hoppy roasted bed rather than that of pale.

What ensues is the common dark bark brown tinge that's just off of black. Its roasted aromas start with bold coffee, cocoa, roasted walnut and grilled berries. Charred toast gives the beer its aromatic character, nearly suppressing that of floral hops underneath.

Its body is creamy yet dry- giving the toasty earthy middle extended life. Its burnt sugars are suggestive of molasses but with a drier and peppery tone similar to rye. Grilled currant and grape peak through as the beer nose dives into a quick and fleeting finish.

Its dry maltiness leaves a nearly ashy campfire waft hovering above. But its the deep coffee, chicory and bitter chocolate that outlasts the scorch and decorates the finish with faint licorice and peppercorn.
